I gritted my teeth and readied myself for the blast I knew was coming. Fire poured through my whole being as I felt my skin blister and bust. I said nothing as I fell to a knee. I looked up to fire one last arrow and was met with a pair of demonic grins. Blood burned and blurred my vision, as it rolled down my forehead. I shot. A hit. An Unholy sound roared from the depths of me as I took aim again.
One of the two men uttered an ungodly pair of words and I felt a wave of hot energy wash over me. My body fell limp and I crashed to the ground. I tried to pull myself up but only a moan came from my broken body. I could hear, the two men already plucking the bow out of my stiff hand and what little gold I had in my pouch, as my world went dark.
My eyes opened to a dark world resembling my home. I was all too familiar this place. I broke the shroud between the two worlds making myself for a time visible. My sister motioned me to come inside our home. I instinctively moved my feet, as I hovered into the place that had been established so many years before my birth. Seeing my faint spirit come through the now barred doors she called upon her great magic and a bright light shown in my eyes.
I winced and my whole body burned and ached once again. The world around me spun continuously. My body was soothed as my sister healed me with her magic once again. I shook my head and raised my body up. I grabbed a small pouch containing a few potions and my last bow that I had left leaning up against the wall. I moved the giant beam that was barring the doors and sprinted to the battlefield.
Around me my brothers and sisters moaned as they fell. I screamed as my eyes welled with tears as I saw them falling. I could take no more. I took aim at one across the field of battle. I hit, square in back he jerked forward and then spun around to see me fire again and hit him in the chest. Out of fear he turned and tried to run, a final shot from my bow pierced his temple. He fell from his ethereal mount and I roared, “Victory!”
As I stood in my glory and vengeance a magical explosion from behind knocked me off my feet. I struggled back onto my feet as I felt the poison enter my blood stream. I could feel the salty, iron taste of blood in my mouth as I coughed up blood continuously. I pulled a small bottle from my pouch to try and null the effects of the poison. Another explosion knocked me to the ground and shattering the glass into my face.
Again my world went dark. My brother ran to my aid. Wrapping a bandage around my head with his left hand, as a holy feeling came from his right hand. As I regained life he lifted to my feet. He continued to heal me as he dragged me to our home. We both heard the gallop of horses behind us as we moved slowly towards the tower.
I felt the kryss rip through my tender back. I looked down and saw my blood pouring out of me where the kryss had tore through me. As he defended himself from the swordsman my brother uttered the words, “I am sorry.” I fell to the ground and once more my world went dark.
I awoke in our home, every part of my body ached more then it ever had before. One of my brothers looked at me with worry in his eyes. I stared back and my eyes widened as I felt the rage burn inside me. I felt around for anything to use as a weapon. I picked up a scimitar that was lying on the ground from earlier. I screamed as I ran out.
Seeing one of my sisters being assaulted, by one of the same men whom had struck me down before, I ran towards them. Arm over my head waving the impromptu weapon over my head I slashed down cutting deep into the man’s back. He twisted around hitting me with his fist. I once again felt the taste of blood in my mouth. Two quick spells later I found myself on the ground once again. I looked up at the demonic man and smiled. A wave of energy coursed through my body and my world went dark once again...
